Why does "build copy" not copy the settings too?
As the title says, why does it not?
It's already annoying that the rotation is always reset, though that is more of an issue when relocating things, but still >_<

If it helps, I've personally found this to be quite useful:

(Especially as my tailoring benches, for example, tend to have pretty complicated work bills - and I got sick of having to reinvent the wheel every playthrough just to clothe my pawns.)

Although personally I'm glad that Build Copy *doesn't* copy the settings - because sometimes I just want to make more Limestone Shelves, not have to reset the storage allocations for every creation because the previous one was used to store very specific bits of clutter (which I'd also need to Haul back again into general storage after the new shelf was finished.)

There should just be an option to build a copy with or without settings.
Same like there's toggle options for certain things in the actions, like "Fire at will" for drafted colonists, there could be one next to the "Build copy" for whenever or not to mirror the settings too.

Alternatively, the option to copy _all_ bills of a workbench instead of one at a time. Every game when I finally replace the hand tailor bench with the electric tailor bench I have to copy and paste around a dozen bills.

There's a mod for that:

I use better workbench management and love it. Being able to rename bills in addition cloning all of them is great, so you don’t get you destroy/smelt bills messed up. Doesn’t help with the OP’s problem but two thumbs up.

The best, not so well known, feature of Better Workbench Management is bill linking. If you used multiple benches of the same type, it is well worth looking into using linking!

Or JUST having drag n drop to reorder. That's such a weird thing with the game: you have so much drag n drop options all over, except THERE.

I love that the mod adds it but it's janky as ♥♥♥♥... sometimes when the line is above another item, it lands below, sometimes it DOES land above, I don't understand it, nor why it's still so short.

But yeah, that mod's essential...

On account of getting bills messed up: I wish we could just name them... having 3 different smelting bills because you have different settings for durability and quality for different things makes it not easy to keep track on which one of the 3 smelts was which...

Oh yeah... as soon as you have more than one of the same, you will never again miss this mod.
