Cannot play anymore, since Windows 10 update

Hello, i tried to postpone the updates of windows cause i never liked that and always caused my old pc some problems. yesterday while i was away i left my pc on and an update just installed by itself .-. now RimWorld does not work, the application will run, as i can see the icon in the lower bar, i can hear the music etc, but the game just wont popup .-. i hopei can fix this :(

I tried to revert back to the previous build , unistalling the update and voilà! the game now works without problems.

my pc maybe sucks :) but i have several hours on this game,so....whats to point ? UPDATE also a unity game does not work anymore

i searched and a post on steam forums shows up i will link it. https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/1480982971174752598/?ctp=2 it seems something like my case, cause another game just randomly stopped working. (made with unity) the problem is that i cannot change the option that they mention in that post

I can't help you with the game problem but you can install Winaero Tweaker and stop the Windows 10 auto-updates. It also stops Windows Defender auto-updates, though, so you have to stay on top of that if you use it.

I'm not sure how a Windows update can screw unity games, but I doubt you'll get RimWorld working without a bit of searching and fixing. Sorry.

I was having a lot of trouble with Hearthstone (another Unity game) after the update.

OP, I ran an update tool from MS and there was some of the Windows update that was missing. My system - unity games- runs perfect again after using it and installing the missing files.

thanks milky for the suggestion ^^ for now 'mtrying to see if i can disablethe updates (with every update some problem occurs) but i'll keep that thing in mind!thanks again!

Garbage 10 has screwed over many games making you jump through hoops in order to play.

i didnt know any good reason why u should take win10 instead of win7

Not sure if someone said this but, try running the game in compatability mode.
