Raktavija is impossible!
Mission 62... 2 RAKTAVIJA!? Did the devs think this game wasn't hard enough and decided to make it impossible?! Because this really is IMPOSSIBLE! One by itself wasn't too bad but when both are multicasting every 5 seconds there's nothing I can do!

You're impossible.

I leave this one until 2nd to last. You'll need at least one good sabateur (2 preferably) that can also double as ravagers and a good Synergist. Its pointless playing defensive as they'll debuff you quickly with multicast. Debuff one, tri disaster it wot stagger quickly and pound away with strong commados such as Fang. Keep healed whilst the commandos do their thing and rinse and repeat with the 2nd.

Magic damage resistance is huge in this fight. Stacking multiple maxed Rune Bracelets is cheap and effective. Beyond that, Slow is great. The key to scoring 5-stars is to prevent them from casting Dispelga after you stagger them. Stopga shortly before you stagger followed by careful attack timing is the way to go here.

I beat them! Witch's Bracelets and at least 1 SEN were a huge help. I had Power Gloves and Shaman Marks on my whole battle team.. I was hoping brute Str/Mag would be enough for every fight but I learned the hard way...

It's the hardest of the 64 missions, IMO. #64 would be harder if it weren't for the boss's susceptibility to Poison. This one really forces you to look into every aspect of your party: not whether you're leveled enough, but also what sort of items you have on and how well your paradigm deck is equipped to deal with an onslaught of powerful attacks.

I don't think it's quite the hardest of the missions. You may be able to exploit Poison and Summon/Gestalt against mission 64, but you can also exploit Ultimate Magic (i.e. Magic immunity) against mission 62, and that's a stronger exploit IMO. That said, mission 62 is probably the hardest mission to find a consistent 5-star strategy for.

Yeah, but there's three bad things about that strategy. First, you have to be really rich to do that, even if you farm most of the materials (and if you can repeatedly kill Shaolong Guis for Dark Matter, you're probably powerful enough that you don't have to resort to this strat anyway). Second, you have to know how to in the first place[tvtropes.org], as the requirements for getting magic immunity are very exact. Most players won't ever find it without using a guide. Third, it can be very hard to 5-star the battle with that strategy, as all that extra Magic on the party leader will decrease the target time by quite a bit.

It is a fun way to do that battle though, not gonna lie. :D:

If you are going to 5-star, then yes, just magic damage reduce. But the magic immunity exploit turns the fight into what many people accuse the game with: hold down A button. Even if you get only one character the magic immunity, you can set him/her in COM, then strap down the A button, go shopping, watch a movie, have dinner, etc. It may take forever, but you cannot lose the fight.
At least even with poison, Vercingetorix needs input. A lot of input.

you need to try harder and faster

The Synthesized ability (RANDOM instant CHAIN) is your best bet to 5star this boss, A taming pole/venus gospel and kill libra or kill ATB will do it.

Random: Instant Chain is relatively worthless in this fight. It only takes a few rounds to stagger Raktavija (assuming you've set up with buffs and debuffs), so you aren't saving much time even if you get extremely lucky with it.

I'd honestly call it more of a liability than an asset, because you lose the ability to time the stagger to your advantage with something like Stopga.

What is Random Instant Chain and how do I get it?
tiornys Dec 8, 2014 @ 6:14pm
Random: Instant Chain is a synthesized ability that gives you a 0.5% chance of instantly filling a target's chain gauge to the stagger point each time you hit them with an attack that raises the chain gauge. You get it by equipping two-three weapons/accessories that belong to the Gestalt synthesis group:

Weapons: Hauteclaire, Durandal, Lionheart, Ultima Weapon, Rigels, Polaris Specials, Procyons, Betelgeuse Customs, Unsetting Sun, Midnight Sun, Alicanto, Caladrius, Heavenly Axis, Abraxas, Taming Pole, Venus Gospel

Accessories: Survivalist Catalog, Hunter’s Friend, Speed Sash, Energy Sash, Champion’s Badge

Random: Instant Chain does not work on enemies above level 49, which includes almost all bosses.

Hey, this guy is trolling. He has 94% of the achievments including the Titan Trials, and for finishing every mission. The only ones he doesn't have is Treasure Hunter (Held every weapon and accessory) & L' Cie Paragon (Get 5 star rating in every mission).Yet this one doesn't matter because he has the achievment where he finished all missions.....unlocked.

Here's my question. If he has that achievment (where you finish all missions) unlocked, then how is he having trouble with that one?Supposedly he DID finish it even once.WTF?

These guys are easy. Beat the game and max everything. Sabx3 to give them about 3 dots. Syn x3 to power yourself up and Ravx3 to quickly break their defences. Comx3 to destroy once you've done that. Their attacks are nothing when you have max hp. Pointless to fight them low level for it will take up too much time because you'll have to do it again anyway to get 5 stars. So why torture yourself? You wouldn't even need any defensive accessories.
