Don't get mistaken.
It looks better on dx11 from the 2015 "classic" version only.
The dx11 (and 12) "next gen ssao" is not even close.
Looks better with RTX ON, and more realistic.
Other are just fake effects bit in some games looks nice, but still I prefer this with RT
not everyone has vcards with RT
These screenshots compare NON-RT ambient occlusion.
Still incredible how many people fall for this. The indutrie calls them "useful idiots".
Indeed, when the frametime is stable, 30 FPS can be enough to enjoy.
But overall, for long sessions, 30 FPS is tiring for my eyes :) Just my feeling.
8 GB of Vram are not enough in this unoptimised game to run RT in all situations. In and around Novigrad you'll find out the hard way.
Oh, and I don't play on pc to run a 7.5 year old game with 30 FPS. The game looks nice, but certainly not that nice to justify the poor performance.
I got back to witcher3 classic, and the game ran so smoothly
BUT I have to tell there are some graphical improvements in the next gen version (besides the terrible SSAO) like the foliage density. Even in extreme, the classic version is way less dense than the current version in medium/high.
Some cursors have changed in the graphic settings, and the extreme in 2015 is like the medium/high now.
I must admit that it is "normal" that the current version is not as fluid with the same settings.
RT Ambient with path traced light and shadows is like real in life falls. You see soft shadows only when you will see this shadows in real life.
There is no marketing here, its just hardware technology.
The one "useful idiots" its I think author, but this must be becasue o lack knowekdke he has ;-)
