I really dislike this mission chain. There is no option to fight the whole town or run away. I get stuck waiting in Lugos's prison mine. Then I have to make a deal with a ♥♥♥♥♥y prisoner just to be heard. Then my word as a witcher is not enough, Lugos makes me do Shte for him that I would really wish to challenge him for. Where is my Skellege "right of Challenge?" Why did that nice guy Jorund have to die by those coxsuckers? Why cant I just leave that whole area to die by monsters? better yet why cant I challenge my acuser to a duel?

You later kill Lugos anyway and his son dies in a berserker attack, so he gets what's coming to him.

but yeah, I did feel forced to help him which sucked.

In my second playtrough I managed to avoid the fight and skip the whole prison thing, not entirely sure about what dialogue changed that... but I was pleased

Lugos is a Prick. He Blackmails me into helping his son. If his son is man enough to be the next leader, he doesnt need me to hold his hand. Lugos says to me I have to do theis because he paid the silver blood price. It was self defense and he blackmailed me. I just want to walk away or lop off his head right there. I do not understand why this happened in Skellege. Had this scene happened in Novagrad or Velen i would have understood that. But for it to happen in Skelleege when I have the right to challenge, is BS. Not to mention that Lugos didnt charge a Blood fee for poor Jorunds death. Jorunds family has rthe right of challenege or blood fee as well.

you need to do the quest line for crach an craite (that viking guy with the son and daughter) you need to save his children and if you finish the quest. then finish jorund quest and then you dont have to go trough al that

Here, another necro, you dumbass. Some, like you, fail to understand these threads are Google searched and if someone has anything else to ask or say, they can do it. It doesn't go against the terms of use of Steam. Witcher 3 is a very popular game still after 2 years, and thousands of people are still playing, so keep your necro $hit to yourself. Besides, that post you are talking about was a few months old only. What do you suggest then? Create another thread asking the same thing? Stupid.

Thats because Geralt is an outsider and thus outside the clan traditions, he can't challenge a leader like Lugos.

Its also a matter of honour, Lugos pays the blood money so Geralt feels compelled to help his son, thats a good point you made about Jorund though but I don't believe he had family that we know of.

Lugos falsely accused Geralt and paying the blood price was just a bribe of dishonour.

Lugos didn't accuse him of anything, in this case he is the arbitrator of justice. The father of the two thugs is Geralt's accuser.

Lugos follows the traditions but uses a loophole to get Geralt in his debt. He took advantage of a bad situation but in no way was it dishonourable.

Yeah, I managed that once but I've played a few times since and can't avoid being chucked in jail.

In general, I'm with the OP on this one. If it was difficult but possible to defeat the two thugs in the tavern and save Jorund that would be better.
