Find Brother Maynard and get the alchemy recipe for the Holy Hand Grenade.

It's an Easter Egg.

You probably won't get it because it goes back a long time.

It's to do with Monty Python.

They had a bit in the 'Holy Grail' film with white rabbits outside caves that slaughtered all the knights of the round table.

That's your rabbit from hell... it can't be killed.

Just thank your lucky stars that it isn't as lethal as the one in the Monty Python film... otherwise, that's game over!

I know Monty Python... I just didn't figure it was an easter egg since it was just some random-ass Snow Hare.

I'm certain I heard it somewhere years ago because I was confused by the rabbit. Thats what I read and when you look at all the bones outside the cave, that does match with the monty Python rabbit. After I read this I tried all ways of killing the thing... no joy. It remained totally alive and stubbornly like a rabbit. Swords... no, though you can accidentally kill any rabbit/chicken.sheep/goat etc. Igni: impervious. That rabbit is deliberately immortal.

Even if it's not true, it matches and it's fun...

... "Run away!"

Oddly, that's what I always shout when faced with enemies I can't beat in games.

Once I've beaten them, I can confidently tell them that their mother was a hamster and their father smelt of elderberries.

Even so, it's a good job this little rodent is not as lethal as the Monty Python Rabbit. Here's why...

ARTHUR: What?

TIM: There he is!

ARTHUR: Where?

TIM: There!

ARTHUR: What, behind the rabbit?

TIM: It is the rabbit!

ARTHUR: You silly sod! You got us all worked up!

TIM: Well, that's no ordinary rabbit. That's the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on.

ROBIN: You tit! I soiled my armor I was so scared!

TIM: Look, that rabbit's got a vicious streak a mile wide, it's a killer!

GALAHAD: Get stuffed!!!

TIM: It'll do you up a treat, mate!

GALAHAD: Oh yeah??

ROBIN: You mangy Scot's git!

TIM: I'm warning you!

ROBIN: What's he do, nibble your bum?

TIM: He's got huge, sharp-- he can leap about-- look at the bones!

ARTHUR: Go on, Bors. Chop his head off!

BORS: Right! Silly little bleeder. One rabbit stew comin' right up!

TIM: Look!

[squeak]

BORS: Aaaugh!

See? Never treat white rabbits with disdain.

They'll come back to haunt you. A witcher should never abandon poultry in distress, nor should he ever dismiss the threat of rodents... or wild strawberriies, for that matter.

If all else fails, do as Brother Scuba Steve has't suggested, and do it thusly and in a forthright fashion! Maketh thine decoction of Holy Water, rodent dust and 2 pinches of nostrix. Condense it most vehemently into a cylinder (a bomb, in parlance most modern) and hurl it at thine foe! as Brother Scuba hath stated, the holy hand grenade created in such fashion wilst undo even the utmost of foes... even rabbits.*

And thus endeth the lesson.

Amen.

*As far as I am aware, CDPR have excluded said recipe from the game, given that it totally annihilates all beings, including Detlaff, Eredin and white rabbits.
