Order of side quests in Velen

Can side quests in Velen be played in random order?

Some may influence each other and change small bits here and there.

Some will disappear once you advance the main quest.

So, mostly you can. But some things will be different.

The only quest that disappears, or used to, is the Horse Racing. Even that won't go until you do the 'Isle of mists' quest very late on. You'll be warned that some quests will be unavailable before sailing to the isle.

Little or nothing will change. Do them in whatever order you like to level up and get gear.

I would think that most of the higher level quests would persist, you know the ones that require you to be level 20 or so. Really wish there were some warning of that before I pick up the damn notice for those.

That's about it.

There is one exception: the Gwent Players quest. One of the characters is going to be gone at some point of the game so if you would not win a card from that character you would never get this card.

A few side quests do influence other quests which may cause you to miss quests. You also may find yourself too high a level for some side quests, causing you to earn 5-10 XP instead of 50-100 (ex.).
The difference will never be multiple levels of XP or spectacular game-changing loot though.
