Bounty Hunt is a very long game when compared to the others which would be ok except its also a very passive and boring mode as it currently use.
the 50% increase to exp and oranges is nice but they don't feel like enough of a reward considering how long those games feel like they are.
Almost everyone plays this as a very passive quest looper since its the more optimal strategy when compared to doing bounties.
It usually feels like fetch quests are the way to go. And thats a real shame. And characters with + move like lone ranger get a huge advantage.
And if you are trying to win via monster hunting you need to buy stuff like to survive combat or +rec to revive faster. Where every 1 hp can count. Meanwhile fetch questers can buy stuff on a whim like pirate minions to just mess with you. And if events are on those also usually just mess with fighters, like air raid, bomber, etc. They are like just minor issues for fetch collectors. And if your hp is low from fighting, where they are full because they aren't fighting anything, they can attack you and beat you up, and take a fame/stars.
WORSE the harbringer knight can start to doom you and rob you of your battle buffs, EVEN IF YOUR NOT IN FIRST PLACE! Like I spend all my money on a damage resist shield to fight the worm. He dooms me and robs me of it, making me lose the game. Fetch questers unaffected.
I just feel like fetch quests ruin the mode. Like even if only 10 fam max can come from fetch quests its might help. And fetch questers can run an entire hand of fetch quest cards. Where a monster hunter may need battle cards to beat their prey.
I'm still pretty new to it, but thats how it feels like to me.
Part of me wonder if it would be better as a "Co-op" experience where players have a number of chapters to help each other get strong enough to take out an end game boss. Like helping each other get stat upgrades, fight/hyper cards, buffs, etc.
I'd suggest starting with revealing the locations of the target once a bounty is taken (visible only to the person who took the bounty), as well as making bounty targets drop something handy when killed. I don't agree that the fetch quests need to be worse because I already feel the game mode takes a reasonable amount of time as is.
For the Doom it either needs to be cast less, more reliable to remove with shops, more selective in who gets afflicted, or easier to engage the knight in combat (Doomed players could even get a combat buff against the knight!). Just had a game where no was ever really in a position to attack the knight more than a couple of times and it just killed everyone like 10 times each with the status and even if it's a relatively symmetrical effect it's very annoying gameplay that needn't be there.
