What would you like to see next?
As topic says - we're looking for feedback and ideas for ways to improve the game in the future.

Currently the two big features we're debating between tackling next are:
-In-game chat
-Level editor.

What do you think?

Level editor/workshop support.

Cough cough.
Definitely level editor. The amount of in-game chat rage might not make that feature entirely useful, and when friends are playing this together they usually create a steam group chat anyways.

For convience, maybe a deck randomiser or maybe the option to save maybe 3 pre-set decks for those who like to attempt to play a very particular way?

Also would like level editor.

Minigames would be cool.
Fight (insert player's name here)
Challenge (insert player's name here) to a minigame

Level Editor
Player stats/Leaderboards
Kae :)
Player stats should include number of games played (to completion) and won, with each character.

level editor and maybe a skin mod for characters?
color swap for players/cpu who have the same characters
sound test will be nice.
and a idea from smash mp spectate mode. allow spectate to bet stars on players they believe who will win and get free stars

Also, Poppo should win more games.

ha. happy to see my gif is being used
Speaking of colors, I think someone has mentioned that this game needs a colorblind mode.

(I'm not colorblind myself, but someone's posted about it before.)

Also, customizable in-game avatars would be nice. Or at the very least, alt colors/costumes (like in Super Smash Bros), automatically applied for players using the same character in a given game.

It's fantastic to hear the devs are active. I've grown used to translated doujin being multiple years old and published on the assumption of being "final" versions. I'm enthused :summersun:

I think something important to implement would be the ability to rejoin a game in progress. I've had friends disconnect for various reasons, such as the game crashing or their internet connection failing. We tried and found no way to reconnect, so we just abandon the game in progress and start a new one.

I think the UI can be improved a bit. The main thing on that is a better way to know what cards your opponents are playing. Maybe when a card is activated set it to the side of the screen, and when you mouse-over the card it enlarges (or a bubble popup for just the effect text). Or some type of log, either short term ("Cards played this chapter" on the top or bottom of the screen) or long term (a text log that can be brought up showing everything that's happened). Also, I'd like to be able to set the scale/size of the UI.

I would love a level editor, that'll be fun.
This game is awesome, I love how well the mechanics work! ♥
Small but handy feature: an exit button (such as a corner "x") on the startup dialog.

Being able to rejoin games is one of the major features of version 1.4 "Bad Pudding". If you have just disconnected it may still show you in game (error message "Steam ID already in game"), but it should only take ~30 seconds for that player to time out, after which they can rejoin the game. If the game was full, they can take control of the CPU that is now playing their character.

In all honesty this game looked really fun, but there's a lack of varity to each game you play. Minigames would easily remedy this problem and would add hours upon hours of more replayability. :thekid:
