Why do people keep calling Star "Reika"?

Because that's her name.

I've never heard her called this name outside of the context of Mixed Juice (and the Sora Trading Card.)

She's also referred to as such in the Love Love Starbreaker[www.dlsite.com] drama CD, but no one's really sure of its canonicity or its implications (the most common interpretation I've found being that it's an alternate dimension).

Reika is SB real name before she went crazy when her miliary took her and tranform her into the most powerful weapon.

the drama cd is what SB life could of been if there was no war.

Didn't Tomomo say that Star was raised in a time of war, though?

And in Mixed Juice, is she the insane Starbreaker or is she the non-insane Reika?

which is why i said "what SB life could of been if there was no war."

but 100% and mixed isn't canon(maybe???)

in mixed juice, we meet the non crazy one first until she gets split. which we meet the crazy one from Sora timeline/world. since samika can make past memories real from the planet, reika we meet is a young SB.

Fun fact, her name is also a pun on "Star breaker". Hoshino Reika, Hoshi in this case means star, no is the particle to show possession, and reika sounds like bureeka, breaker in japanese. Hence the meaning "breaker of stars".

Yeah, I was starting ot assume "Reika" was a reference to "Breaker".
