100% Orange Juice the physical Board Game
Hey guys! Thought I should jump on in the forum and show you what I have been working on for a while. My own personal copy of the board game https://imgur.com/a/LcrXx I wish I could upload the pictures here but did not know how to go about that.

The whole set together has all of the Card Expansions, along with all of the character cards, excluding Miu and Repa, and 4 boards to play on (Practice Field, Starship, Tomomo's Abyss, and Christmas Miracle).

Making the game was a huge blast and trying to figure out some of the mechanics and apply it to an actual board game took some thought. There was a lot of work and rework as I came up with new ideas on how to go about the process. The game play is surprisingly smooth and a lot of fun to still play. The game lasts about an hour, and spectating a lively group is almost as fun as playing it.

Cannot give enough thanks to those who play tested it and gave feedback on where it could improve and what was good as is.

Thanks for your time guys!

Edit: 5 Year edit! After not continuing on this passion project, since life decided to take over, I am putting the base game version of the physical copy up for the community! It is all in a google drive folder, everything you need to make your own version. The game has a little bit of rough edges, but the functionality is still very much there. In one of the documents, i list a website I used to order the part as actual game pieces. In no way am I promoting them, its just a way for someone to get right into it quickly. Please let me know if anything is confusing, or something isn't working and ill try my best to help in any way! Also this is for personal fun use, no selling!

That is some dedication. Fantastic work though.

Awesome!
But I'm curious, how do you decide on Warp panels?
ZanyZombie Sep 11, 2017 @ 7:07pm
Probably just asign each warp panel a number (maybe every time, or at the beginning?) and roll a Dx based upon how many warp panels you can warp to. It would be pretty easy on starship, as unless backtrack is on there is only ever two warps to go to (or a mixed po, like in the picture)

I bet random warp would be a little too much though.

Warp panels are pretty easy for the 4 maps I have at the moment. 2 of them have 4 warp panels, so roll a D6 and move counter clockwise that many spaces without counting the one you are on. Starship, we had it evens on one, odds on the other. If backtrack was on, we would roll a die and had an assigned spot for 5 of the panels, 6 being a reroll. Christmas Miracle has 7 warp panels, so roll a D6 and move that many counter clockwise.

As for Mixed Poppo, it is still being tested a bit to find flow, but there are 6 warp panel sets she can place for her hyper. Roll a die and see which set is being targeted, then roll another die and move that many spaces counterclockwise. If you roll a die and that set number is not used, then you use the boards warp panels.

Again still a work in progress as she was just added mainly due to trying to figure out how to get her to work.

Random Warp/ Go Away/ Here and There, were all fun events to figure out how to apply. But the way it was done is that there was a smaller deck with 8 cards. Each player would draw a card and roll a die. Each player starting with player 1, would start swapping with the player that the card says, and then move Forward/ Backward based on also what the card said and move that many spaces on the die. If a player was to swap with themselves, then they just stand there and move the amount of spaces instead. It works pretty well and is also pretty fast, especially when people saw the card get played and they all rolled a die before the side deck was handed out.

Nice! I know it's a bit much to ask but if you made real physical copies I would definitely buy one.

Incredible!

I play and collect board games as a hobby and this looks better than some games I get from kickstarters. ;)

What about Extension and Play of the Gods?

Also what about We Are Waruda, Mixed Phenomenon, Minelayer and Freeze event?
Do you just blacklist them from play?

we really need some way to mass market that board game for many other people to play it.
