About Ceoreparque
I literally hate to say this but her hyper is seriously ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ broken.

And when I mean broken I mean actually exploiting your own hyper to directly win the game without even barely trying.

You can literally stay at a home with more then 200 stars, and use witch's hair lock to stay in that exact same place, and win the freaking game it's too abusive, and sadly I really think it needs a nerf to restrict you from using it on yourself it's just too much.

The fact that you land on the space a second time feels unintentional, between this and how it only costs 10 stars, but I don't see how it could have gotten past testing without them noticing, so maybe it isn't...

There's an achievement for causing your opponent to do it.

At most, being able to do it yourself is unintentional.

I'd suggest bringing its level requirement up to 3, and raising the cost up to 30.

Huh. Guess that was the idea... and yeah, it just sounds way too good for 10 stars.

That'd make it useless for anything except forcing the target to fight the boss.
Honestly, just prevent Repa from targeting herself with it (doesn't make terribly much sense anyway) and it seems fine to me.

Really? It'd make it useless for forcing the target to 2x drop twice? It'd make it useless for preventing the target from following you and fighting you? It'd make it useless for getting a second level up should you have an excess of stars? It'd make it useless for forcing a threatening opponent to the opposite island in Sunset and Lagoon Flight?

It seems way too generally useful for a mere 10 stars.

I like it tho :narcissu04:

...not that I won a game myself by forcing myself on a home for some time

Yes. Not only are permanent x2 Drop panels pretty rare to begin with, even at norma 5 your opponent would have to get an above average roll to drop more stars than you're paying for your hyper.
At that point you might as well just use Flip Out instead.

Yes. That's equivalent to a single-target Binding Chains, which is 10 stars.
Or you could just use a Dash for 3.
There's a reason people hate Magical Massacre, and the absurd cost is part of it.

Not always, but I did say that that aspect of the card could use some looking at.

Here and There does basically the same thing for 10 stars.

Not really. Aside from allowing you to target yourself, it doesn't really do anything other cards don't already allow you to do better. To compensate, it offers control and precision, which is good - but not good enough to warrant a 30 star cost, that's insane.
Even Delta Field is only 20 stars while being much more threatening when boss panels are involved.

In fact, part of why it's useful is because it's fairly inexpensive - making cards more expensive does not always equal balance. For instance, Dash is a quite useful card for nearly any character in nearly any situation - but would you ever really use it if it costed 30 stars instead of 3?

I agree with just making it so you can't self-target and leaving it at that.
Mechonis Sep 5, 2017 @ 5:43am
Just make it so you can't target yourself. No need to overnerf this

I honestly don't yet feel like it's that big of a deal. Ceoreparque herself is a mediocre character at best, and having a hyper with such high usability evens her out. Saki works similarly, but trades guaranteed results for a potentially bigger payoff. I wouldn't remove the self-target aspect as it feels like a viable strategy, nor would I increase card level (very unlikely to be used for the double-norma advantage as a level 1 anyways). At worst, I'd suggest a nerf to 20 stars, which helps against earlier double-normas but doesn't really affect late game ones. I think if the hyper were to be nerfed otherwise she'd just become too niche - although it's possible I'm still underestimating her. The passive is quite powerful once you learn to not get tricked into Suguri-evading everything.

I'm getting Sweetbreaker flashbacks...

These are the exact same arguments that happened when NoName and Kiriko were released. One character has a borderline broken passive while the other who is weaker has a situationally OP hyper and everyone screams to nerf the weaker character. If anything Miusaki is the one that needs a nerf, being able to guarantee a kill with her hyper and final battle with no risk is filthy in the late game and since she can only be killed when below 3 hp it can be hard to stop her when she has any kind of healing card.

Damn people. The character with the poor statline has hardly been out at all and everyone already wants to gut her hyper to Magical Massacre levels. Can the salt and let the character get some solid play stats first for Orange Juice & FBF to work with.

She's probably going to get fine win-rate stats and people are just overreacting.

I'd rather her have a better statline (like 4/0/0/+2) in exchange for the inability to target herself tbh.

She's not good enough to survive nerfing the best aspect of her hyper, but this aspect is honestly ridiculous.
