bug - I keep getting transferred to spectator mode and keep losing all my points
I can rarely play for more than a few minutes. Then I get a message that I joined spectators. when i join back, i am back to 0 points. very frustrating.is it anything I can do?

Maybe you binded a key to set you to spectator mode, try looking for it in the bind list.

I don't have any key binds to that

don't know if this matters, I am using Windows 10, 64 bit. the only key binds I have is to my preferred movement keys. I don't even know how you set spectator mode via commandl line, let alone bind a key to it. I've checked anyway and no, no key binds.

What servers did it happen in? Was it running minqlx (do you hear: "I want you to have a good time" when you connect)?

i usually join any server I find with green ping. Happens everywhere. if it runs this minqlx, first how do i know and second does that have any effect ?

Good point lint ... it could well be that a minqlx automatically put him spec if it is instructed to put an outnumbering player to spec. (Not all minqlx are instructed that way though). I have never heard of this as a problem and see this as the only good explaination offered.

Exactly, this is what I suspect. Thank you for explaining this, as I did not want to associate blame with minqlx without more information. :qlfrag:

Griff, try to gather more information. When it happens, are you the last person to join and the teams are uneven? What server did it happen on? Do !help in the server to see what version minqlx is running (as long as the admin did not remove it).

Cavegirl has been experiencing this in my servers, so I updated the minqlx code to the latest version and have balancing off right now. If you can provide info, we might be able to track down the problem based on both of your inputs.
