The Real Barrier To Entry For Arena FPS!
Nevermind the weak starting weapons, lack of utility weapons, or no easy access tools to learn how the game fundamentally works, those are all easily overcame by just playing and getting better. There's only one true barrier to entry for these kind of games and I've seen this issue in basically every arena fps from Toxikk, to Reflex, and everything in between, it's the servers. I've played games that are 12+ years old that have better servers then these games. There's no reason any game after 2010 should have problems with hit detection, inconsistencies (Weapons doing considerably more or less damage from same distance, at random for no reason), and so fourth based on something trivial as internet connection. There's no excuse any game after 2010 should be using peer to peer connection for it's servers. It's pathetic.

Sounds like you are just playing on a high ping. Dont use wifi. Over 50 is high, over 100 very high and unplayable. Not many servers to choose from though anymore, which is not the fault of the game.

This is what peer to peer does, unless u have good internet you are ♥♥♥♥ out of luck!

The servers are fine tho? Games these days have worse hitreg than QL.

Definitely not dedicated either that's for sure. I can play the Halo games on twice as high of ping and it won't be as laggy as some of these arena shooters are. Anything above 75 ping on games like this are a death sentence.

Those two pictures are not at same distance, not even close. Look at the shadow of the player, one is very close, the other one far away, its almost a complete miss as it should be. On the first one players shadow touches/almost touches the explosion. On the other one another player could almost fit in between the explosion and the player.

I can see why you would think that just bad perspective, but that black circle you seen on ground is from earlier explosion not his shadow. I've watched the demo multiple times, and he is indeed basically the same distance from both explosions. Not that it really matters. This game is dead anyways. lol
