Old Town - WHY?!
Why would you guys put a pile of something, right in the line of fire of the sniper? It's too risky to even peek at it because you will get shot.

Maybe it's to simulate a real life sniper setting out a tempting pile of trash so she/he could make a lot of kills. Let God sort out the bad guys.

When I was there, I made sure to close the door behind me and then hid in the one spot above. Once they walked in, I knifed them.

No. You cannot kill the sniper. You can however, kill the guy that shows up when you have read all of the Inspect icons... something to do with a document...

He tells you to get out when he shows up. I do not remember if he is armed or not, but will become hostile if you don't leave. After reading the note behind a door, you can close the door and hide in one of them spaces to make him lose sight of you.

in my experience, there pile of trash is covered by the wall, and the loot is covered by the tank. you are only really vulnerable to the sniper when climbing up the balcony to the top floor.
