Way to play as borg or tyrinids

hey guys going to come back to this game after a long absence I sorta want to play as a hive mind cyber or organic race like the borg or the nids from 40k anyone got any tips how to build them and how to play em ?

If you want achievements (so no mods):
-Borg: Synthetic Dawn DLC = Machine gestalt conscious --> Driven Assimilators
-Tyranids: Utopia DLC = Hivemind --> Devouring Swarm

Warning: Devouring Swarm, as same as Fanatical Purifier (normal Meatbags) or Determined Exterminator (Machines), is hard to play becasue everyone hates you and no diplomacy at all. Which also includes no Trade with enclaves (Leviathan DLC)


Of course the vanilla version lacks for both choices aproprate ships, better portraits ander minor stuff. Which can be get done through teh workshop for a better gameplay feeling. Which of course since heavily modding, will disable achievement gain, so you should ask yourself if that is a fair trade. If you go modded
