First meeting with Atlas

It seems that I missed entire first meeting because one of my friends decided to join me and use the Atlas station despite my warnings, can anybody tell me what I missed, I am very dissapointed right now because story was one of the parts of the game that keeps me interested inbetween exploring.

Any help would be really welcome

Path of Atlas is not atlas itself. It is a pilgramage. You find Atlas in the center of the galaxy. Ask for the way to the center.

To clarify... You have a "main" mission now that says you saw/did Atlas-related stuff that you really didn't?

Yes, it seems like my friend did interact with the interface, I even have first blueprint for (what I googled) is Atlas seed

You will need that seed for the other interfaces. At the end you will be rewarded.

Thanks but I am mostly itnerested what was said during that first interaction, if it was anything big and important or not.

The first line is about yourself, your character describes what he feels and how he sees "it".

I wouldn't restart. I saw in the no man's sky wiki screenshots of each text from pre-"Atlas Rising".

The Atlas called me to this interface and yet its purpose remains unclear. It demands worship. It demands obedience. It welcomes me, it knows what I am, it offers the gift of true understanding...

But why? Why does such power and knowledge crave submission? It knows my thoughts before I know them myself. It knows what I will do...

The Atlas asks me to follow its path.

Youz have to learn the language of the Atlas, like with the other races, but you only get the vocabulary from the monlyths (you have to make a decision for), therefore, it is the slowest language you will learn.

I assume the text has not changed much post NEXT then.

I also had a mission that talked about having been in a crimson station, or something like that, a long time before I ever did see anything like that (which was part of a different questline).

Man, me too. I am very sad about this ): I had the quest on, but I never did see it happen, at least I don't remember anything telling me to "gather seeds"?
