Is the Alone Amidst the Stars and The Space Anomaly broken right now?

Both these two quests tell me to go and investigate the Space Anomaly, and the LOG tells me to summon "the anomaly in space" for both quests.
Well, then only thing I can summon is the Nexus, and I've summoned it, I've explored the whole nexus, talked with every alien inside, but the quests dont update. I'm out of idéas.

That is a good question. Normally, you would just go talk to Polo and Nada. They are on the balcony in the middle of the Nexus now. Seems like it should work basically the same, but things are pretty out of control with the Nexus right now.

Unless it is changed, you need to have one of the missions active- to get that script. Each one is slightly different if I remember right...one is the Atlas path and I think the other is part of the Artemis suite of missions.

Hm, I'm pretty sure I had one of the missions active, but will go back and try talking with both of them and see if anything changes depending on what mission I have active.

It isn't just you, it's bugged out for me and my friend too, I talked to the 2 dudes, then went around and talked to every npc on the Nexus, I've since been playing for another 3 hours or so and haven't heard from Artemis, either I'm missing something major to trigger this guy or this update borked it.

Today for some reason I was able to progress.
I had selected one of the Primary Missions and talked with Nada and she finaly gave me a new dialogue that led me to both The Space Anomaly and The Atlas Path and a new objective in Alone Amidst the Stars.
I think I needed to have the right mission selected like Mr. Butterlow said above. :D

I was in the same situation and here's what I did:
1. Open up the quest log.
2. I had "Alone Amidst the Stars" selected. Changed the primary mission to "The Space Anomaly".
3. Now, in my "minimap" (top center of screen) I see where the quest objective is. I went to it and finished that step. Then it opened up the next step to "Speak with Nada".
4. The primary mission "The Space Anomaly" then told me to select "Alone Amidst the Stars".
5. When I close the log, it says "Return to space. Search for clues about 'Artemis' among the stars.

Yeah, nope, unfortunately those steps did nothing to solve either mine or my friends progress block, I guess it's just one of those bugs I'll have to wait for a patch for.

Come to think about it.. What I had done just before when it worked for me was to travel to another system. I'm just taking a wild chance, but try and go to another system, call the Nexus and enter and see if Nada say something new. I'm theorising that maybe the game needs a fresh new system for it to "work" again. Just a thought :)

Actually funny story, yeah that did work, but in a different way, when I got far enough away from the system I was doing the quest on it asked me if I wanted to restart the quest line, so I did and everything went smoothly from there, my friend had his quest fixed the same way you explain though. So looks like it's just a couple bugs they have to work out, I'm just glad it isn't game breaking.

On a side note, I'm later on in the quest line just after doing the base building stuff, and it's now bugged on "go to abandoned buildings to gather nanites" (something like that), but the quest marker has me going to a building I already cleared, so I'm guessing I'll have to do something similar, go to another system and hopefully another building will be targeted, but that's for a later time, it's time for bed now xD

Yeah, going to another system (or planet?) to gather those nanites should hopefully solve it.
I had a quest last night to destroy 5 depots, but it was pointing to a site where I had already destroyed them all. Quest got updated later when I destroyed depots on another planet.

This game is totally F..cked up. Happens all the time that a quest won't progress to the next level and keeps you wondering for hours if you missed something or if it's bugged. And then all of a sudden for no apparent reason the quest is fulfilled... Highly annoying. Just really bad coding...
