I think Star Citizen is a ridiculous scam with a pay to win strategy. Pay packages go into the tens of thousands of dollars for that game.
No Man's Sky: Better exploration. Better planets. Better space legs. Sucky ship controls and trading simulation.
Why are they charging tens of thousands of dollars for packages? What game does that? If they want financing then let me buy shares in the company and get a percentage of the profit back later.
Shroud of the Avatar
That is not true at all.

That's pretty close. lol ED has some decent stuff, but I still don't like it as good as NMS right now. The ability in NMS to get out of your ship and walk around and interact with things/buildings is really nice.
I'm loving NMS since 1.3, but also actually waiting for the pre-alpha of Dual Universe next month. Signed up as a gold member already so I could test the game play out. Kinda looks like a combo of Eve, Space Engineers and NMS all rolled into one.
That article is 2 years, 5 months old if I am reading it right.
In ED I sucked even harder in space fighting than NMS so I have some hope in NMS for that.
NMS is so fun, I play it 5 or more hours at a time, I'm forcing myself off because it's 1:21 AM, it's that good.
I also am waiting for Dual Universe. But if NMS taught me anything it is not to drop money on an unfinished game nor on games before the community has had a chance to check them out first.
^ that.
I have a Star Citizen package. Downloaded it when all you could do was walk around your hangar and look at your ship. Not really interested until there is a game. Too much excitement when they added a towel hanging on the wall. The celebrating over that is still reverberating in my head.
Games should be fun. NMS is fun.
The article was for people interested in the games background. The first link shows you they are still selling stuff for tens of thousands of dollars and the game is bare bone still.
I remeber running rares and loops for hours and days on elite just to get to an Anaconda.
For SC its still too early for me to tell if its going to be all that it is hyped up to be. I mean I really like what they have given us but I am not sure if everyone is going to be happy with the final product.
