Bait Pellets and Auto feeder..
Hello,
I am seeking some help / advice. I have a base on a paradise planet. Im trying to set up my AutoFeeder and AutoHarvester. There is a Flying creature here called a T. Larvaimeum. It has a diet of Tall grasses. I made a bunch of creature pellets made from carbon. The critters dont seem to want to eat em. But it lets me hand feed em. I tried looking for a recipe for critters with a tall grasses diet. I got no where. I even checked the catalog cooking section for the bait recipe that was supposedly added when i scanned the flying creature. Alas nothing was added that i saw. So , anyone got any ideas how to get these critters to use my auto feeders?

thanks in advance

When first introduced, you had to craft specific treats to get critters. They changed that so all critters are attracted by the standard creature pellet you can make.

Since it is boring, I have not really played with the auto feeder since it was first introduced, but I believe it only works with land critters..no flying critters.

The ideal, which I lucked out on, is to set it up in a known spawning location for critters. Otherwise, you have to entice them over to the feeder with the regular critter pellets. In that scenario, you have to do it every time you want to use it. If you put it on a spawn area, you just need to fuel it and they will come.

So there may be some trick to get flying critters to respond to an auto feeder but not that I am aware of. I would try figuring out where they naturally spawn if you wanted to experiment with that.

Flying beetles and butterflies should land and eat your bait. Some of the other low flying creatures that you can feed do not have a landing animation so they will not land to take your bait.
