Pirate teleporter issue

I have recently returned to the game after 3 years and am loving the "new look and content". I am exploring the pirate controlled systems and I cannot seem to use the pirate teleporter system. At all. All of the locations show as "Clearance not granted". I have looked for a quest or some such badge to unlock this, but have been unable to. Can someone assist me with this?

After doing some initial checking, I have found that I CAN teleport from an Atlas station to a pirate system. but not FROM a pirate system to ANYWHERE. I was reading on the discussions about how pirate to normal is not allowed, which I get, but pirate to pirate should be ok.. right?

You can't travel between pirate bases and normal space-stations. They're pirates and intentionally off the grid, if you know what I mean.

You can however travel between your bases, or the Anomaly and pirate stations. And from other pirate stations too.

See gNg , That's the thing. I cannot. I am seeing that Clearance not granted tag on the Pirate stations as well.. while IN a pirate station.

Oh...that's a bit different. Is it the same after save/reload? And maybe try verifying your files, if you haven't already?

It is the same after a save and reload. It's been doing it since I first discovered pirates when I started playing again.
Not the tech guru, so I am unaware as to HOW to verify my files... But I can follow instructions well ...?

Go to your Steam Library page and r/click on NMS in the games list. Select Properties, then Installed Files and you'll see an option to verify integrity of game files on the right of the pop-up.

It just checks to make sure everything is installed correctly and fixes anything that isn't.

As I recall, I think you have to complete the Voice of Freedom mission before you can use the pirate transporter network. Not 100% positive though.

One confusion with the Expedition, is that you may see Pirate systems in your discoveries- but you have really never been there. Until you have gone there by warp, they are not accessible to you via the teleporter. (dang MP bites again)

You get discoveries not related to your travels thanks to the wonders of MP. You could set them as a custom destination and warp there. After you establish in the pirate system you should be able to teleport between it and another known pirate system.
