Portal: Hint on how to open it? (Vy'keen lore)

First, I am very happy with the lore so far. I realized that there are probably about 6 lore lines you can follow by finding monoliths, Atlas and Anomaly stations and infested outposts.

  Today while searching for Vy'keen Monoliths I was able to read something about opening a Portal. Here is the picture (SPOILER):

  It translates into something like: "Hurk called/chalanged the portal for 5 days and only received silence. On the 6th call/challange the portal arose/awakened."
  
  It may be that one needs to stay for 6 Sols at the portal. In addition, you may need some inventory with you to challange the Portal. However, the text does not say "portal", it rather says "huge Monolith". So it could be the lore is refering to one of these simple Monoliths :/

  And pls stfu if the only thing you can say is "It was datamined. There is no interaction with it." This game definitely needs to develope. Negativity won't help. I am not happy with the compatability of this game, however, I really like the lore and the design (except for the lack of life in terms of activities going on by NPC or NPAnimals),

I had added this info. However, it says also "huge monolith". It is ambiguous, but worth the try.

From what I see of screenshots and looking at the boyfriends screen when he stumbled across one, (I haven't even found one yet!) it's the biggest monolith we've seen so far, so I think it might be a solid enough hint to warrant considering.

I found that line about the sixth day and Hirk. I am going to get as many Atlas words as I can before doing the second atlas station. Maybe that will help with the lore.

What's the best way to find Atlas words? I only see a couple pop up here and there when I find monoliths. Or it's just I'm not seeing them.

I once got it from a Monolith after doing its task (choosing an answer)

Interestingly, once you complete the lore on a faction, it seems to restart (My Korvax storyline seems to have restarted. Can't remember the last one so I can't recall if the storyline actually finished). I'll actually screenshot the entire storyline for all three factions so we can cross-reference them in the future.

I can approve that after having read the Vy'keen lore now.

It depends. The trailer indeed showed a portal with a hole in it filled with a fluid. It was small.
There are other huge "Monoliths" aka "Portals", at least it is what we belive to be a Portal. See my second picture on this topic for an example of a Portal.

Ìn many cases (not all) there is a right and a wrong answer to the monolith. I have gotten many words from the monoliths because if I have the wrong answer I just reload. It is wise in this game to be openminded and respectful when dealing with monoliths

Yeh and in trailers those ruins from your second picture just stand behinde the portals ,
so the portals should be standing in front of this ruins from your second picture

About what I said in my previous comment.
This lore is indeed deeper than many have given it and I think we might see some nice developments coming in the game during the next month's or even years. The things learned from monoliths, the things the npc's are doing and revealing (some big wars seem to be going on, is this related to the lore and the portals? who knows)
I still have hopes for this game, HG might have made something that will deliver all things said about factions, freedom and an unlimited universe but all these things might need to be earned

As was (imo) in this post here we can not reach the centre of the galaxy and thus we get thrown back to another galaxy, this is how this all started (us trying to reach the centre of the milky way just to be thrown out right into the Euclid galaxy) and all this lore, these portals, these wars and the centre of a galxy and it's possible outcomes might just be connected. I hope future updates will add to this lore, maybe open a few portals and techs that might bring us closer to getting through the ultimate portal, the centre of a galaxy


making the right choices at monoliths and stations can help you when all this comes in play, I am pretty sure of that

A monolith. That's it. I've received one a couple times from an Atlas Interface, but not every time.

Getting one from a monolith is consistent though. (Monolith, not ruin or plaque ;) )

It is not always the case. There are monoliths where every answer is correct (the dots, runes, signs one for example I believe) Some wrong answers can result in damage even. Others are very clear in the answer how you "pleased the spirits" or "was thanked for your respect"
