Any way to find Vortex cube?
.. except luck(finding a planet by sheer luck), trader or wreck salvaging?

Is there something to look at? (Frozen planet? Blue one, red? One green star, else...?)

Not that I know of - I found two planets within one system that had loads of Vortex cubes, presented in different ways. One had them as the strange shaped boxes just lying on the ground in the mouths of or inside caves. The next planet had them on the open surface as spinning, glowing red cubes on top of pedestals.

On "cluster" planets, they may be littered anywhere, including arrays of cubes above surface, clusters inside caves and tunnels, and small groups of cubes together around mountains and hills.

There are more than one type of Vortex Cube and they look extremely different from each other. Cubes have been found appear that have a trapezoid shape, with a circular hole in it surrounded by a line of white light. Others are tall trapezoid structure along with a floating red square spinning above it.

I have yet to find a pattern, just found them randomly
Already found one too... but it was in early game, and i had room for 3-4... and as it was in early game i thought i could easily find another later on, so I move on ... 45h later (and much more slots in exosuit/ship)... still looking.

It seems that cluster planets are not that rare, i've allready found 5 of them. Some have ground cubes in caves, some have the pedestal ones, and some have both.
If you want to farm them easily you have to salvage a "Beam impact theta", you will get a "special" vortex cube : this one can stack up to 100! You just have to take care not to sell them all and to keep one in your inventory.
If you fine the pedestal ones only, I use this technique : pick one up and kill the sentinel dog and one sentinel. Keep one sentinel alive and run to pick other cobes. Just make shure the one alive sentinel is at a good range : too close, it will shoot you, too far, it will despawn.
Good farm

Found some in a Green system. I don't think there's a hard and fast rule but the red, green and blue stars make certain things more likely (like rare resources).

The problem with vortex cubes, gravatino balls, etc. is that they don't normally stack so collecting enough to have when you need to use them to build and upgrade is pretty difficult. There is or was a bug that starts a stack by harvesting crashed ships.

However, there is a MUCH easier and more satisfying way of dealing with the problem. The mod community has put out a mod available on Nexus and other sites called StackResize. It lets you modify exosuit or ship stacks independently, upgrade charge size, etc. (through an ini file) So you can keep the vanilla stack sizes but it will give you the ability to stack previously unstackable items without the crashed ship bug. I highly recommend it. Note; it does require an andditional mod called NMS Extender but the Stack Resize mod author is working on a .pak version as well.

harvest the updates of a crashed ship, you will get some

I seem to find them on planets orbiting red stars, but that could just be a sampling error. Heh. :)

I found loads of them on 1 planet, and i wapred only 3 times so far, made millions in minutes:)
So... the answer is basically "No"... Just luck.

the correct answer would be,

any B system with caves and high sentinel plantes and missing flora/fauna and caves.
or luck jumping there ;) just ceck the caves when there is no much anywhere else

It's still random. The B systems might have a slightly higher chance, but I've found them on all sorts of planet types.
