Arrrrr! Pirate Space Stations and Cheap ships
I have been getting some great deals on ships at these stations. I got a S class for 400K and a C Class for 165K. Both with a ton of slots compared to what I usually see. Are you all getting those too?

Money is so easy to come by in this game, I barely pay attention to it. After about 1 billion money's, it has very little meaning. You can buy anything.

I rarely pay attention, but I do believe the S class Solar Ship I picked up with in a pirate system. I also got an A class Solar with the "grill" instead of the rocket point front.

Edit: grabbed a picture of both styles in my freighter. The grill model has a shark fin too!

Heh, I suck at earning units in this game. I spend so much time just exploring. But I'm learning the value of getting better at earning the monies.

That's why getting great deals like this is sometimes really useful. Yes, I got great deals on my S-class ships in this way too.

It does bring up a question:
When I look at a ship in a space station, let's say a hauler for example. It's shown as a 39-slot ship. It looks like all of those slots are available to be used without storage augs. But, does that mean that 39 slots will be the maximum, so no more storage augmentations can be applied?
(Yes, I'm talking about no modding or save-editing. I know that can be done. I'm just trying to get the gist of the nomenclature in NMS.)

I think it's the amount of available storage units. But you can add more, up to that border. Maybe I'm lying but pretty sure of that as I have maxed out my Exo Suit and Manipulator. That should be the same as the ships. :nmsunits::nmsatlas::nmsunits:

I've found the best way to earn money (without glitching or exploiting) is to get all the recipe's needed to make Stasis Devices and Fusion Ignitors from the Space Anomaly. Once you have the recipes, start dispatching all the Frigates you can handle. They bring back some of the ingredients that you need. After that, make a huge farm on your Freighter (gonna cost quite a bit of Silver and I think Ferrite Dust), and grow everything possible on the Freighter. You'll be able to collect/make all of the ingredients necessary to stack up Stasis Devices and Fusion Ignitors. These sell for a LOT of money's. Combine that with all the NipNip that you can grow on the Freighter, and you'll be raking in probably hundreds of millions, daily, if you focus on it. I DON'T focus on it, and I still bring in an easy 20 million money's every day, just from Frigate Missions. And I only do the Frigate Missions for the occasional Storage Augmentation; the money is just a nice side effect.

Before Outlaws, all Starships could be upgraded with Storage Augmentations to I think 48 slots, pretty much making Haulers unnecessary. Haulers will upgrade further (maybe 56?), and everything else maxes at 48. I think.

Maybe I need to get myself following through with that after I get done with the Outlaw Expedition. Thanks for the tips! I hadn't really thought about farming on my freighter before. Curious, do you build a base in every system? I do so I can get back to some heavy resources easy.
