landing pads

does anyone know how to connect a landing pad to a existing building ive already built in the new update BEYOND? (sorry if in wrong area, new to using discussions)

It should just snap on to the building if you have a door on the side you are connecting.

They used to, but don't appear to be currently. I was trying to do same thing earlier for half an hour or so and couldn't get the landing pad to snap to any type of building/door etc at all. So, I'm guessing that's hopefully a bug and not a feature ;)

Heard a rumor that now you have to attach a building to the pad...after you set the pad where you want it. Have not bothered to check that out but you might try it if you care right now.

Yeah, it got rid of my old pad I had attached to my building, and the new one doesn't snap on to it at all, maybe only works with some of the prefab room building types like a lot of the stuff does, haven't tried it yet.

ye, ive found you can do that but leaves me wandering how to add another pad to the existing structure??

I found a way to build pads that sort of connect it to buildings.

Lay down 4-5 floor panels, stand on 1th tile, place landingpad on last tile.
Its very tricky, but works everytime for me.

I have not found the building camera mode yet...but the new blue possibilitiues help is very confusing. I was trying to attach cuboid rooms to my storage containers and half the time they were attaching to the back instead of the front.

Mildly annoying because the help often masks where it is really going to set.

This works, thank you very much. I replace the starting door once the concrete pavers are down with the smaller door (the one under Large Structures) and it not only looks better but it aligns perfectly with the ramp onto the platform. Then I extend the pavers to 5x5 and mount stairs on the end to line up the other sides too.
