How to use new artifact exchange vault?

I just attempted to use the new artifact exchange vault located at the new colossal archive structures. It is not accepting my archaeology dig items. So the question is this do the vaults only work with a Nexus or space station missions or is this item broken?

They seem to accept very specific items, like the Fossil Sample you can get from a random pulse drive encounter (it was the only thing it accepted in my inventory of various curiosities). However the goods you get in return seem to be any other (rare) curiosity you can pick up (I got a historical artefact in return that sold for slightly less) so I reckon you should sell your bones anyway.

It likes the relics you find in the chests (that require 3 keys) at buried ruins

I dug up a biological sample near the first one I encountered. It accepted it and gave me a more rare item in exchange. I was able to sell that for 2.2M.

I guess we will have to experiment to find out the ends/outs of the new feature. It would not surprise me to find out there are limits of some kind...otherwise you could make a fortune in a few hours.

Interesting didn't think of donating the new items. I'll try that and see what happens.

Update: Just tried a few of the new buried items found in the update; 1 Species record, data recovery item , 5 different biological samples -- recovered item, 2 Glowing minerals, and an additional Fossil (212K in credits). Others were under 10K credit items. None worked.
