Mission: Nasty Explosions...Can you 'hack' your way inside?
Finally I got my mission board unlocked and have chosen the mission 'Nasty Explosions' where you have to steal industrial files inside a building. The missions states that you can use force by destroying the door (like in any manufacturing building), or you can "overwrite the security system", meaning that you hack your way inside the building.
I had to use force by destroying a rotating security device floating in the air, and then destroying the door, but I didn't find any other way to enter building by hacking etc.

Did anyone succeed in hacking the door or other parts of the building in order to enter? How did you play this mission?
I'm very curious to hear your story :=)

(I'll be away for several hours, but I'll keep track of your feedbacks!)

I dont think the hacking was ever implemented. I always use brute force, tho. My multitool grenade launcher will blow those doors with one shot, most of the time sentinels wont even be alerted. I think you can blow those doors with your ship's guns, if you aim right, then fly away a bit and give sentinels time to calm down. The only thing youll "hack" there is the terminal.

blasting the door, that is the first step

hacking the terminal, that is the next step

so it's 'blast the door then hack the terminal'.. not 'blast the door or hack your way inside'.

Yep, every manufactory is going to be locked and barred, and the only way in is to blast the hell out of it with the plasma launcher.

Beware! This makes sentinels very, very angry. But if you're not ready to fight them, or would simply rather not, you can duck inside right away once the door is open. Once you're standing inside, they'll calm down (I guess they start to assume that you belong there. They're robots, robots are stupid.)

But they're good places to raid, because that's where you can get all sorts of chemical and manufactured blueprints.

Thank you all :=)
So it's basically the same as a Manufacturing Building. Next time I will see if this 'floating security device' can be manipulated somehow.. :)
