Alone Amidst The Stars - Faction Standing - Help!

So, I am at the part of the Artemis quest where I need to raise my faction standing. I was in a Korvax system when I started, so the quest is pointing me to Korvax entities.

The problem is, I'm only 2 levels away from Max Standing with the Korvax. The quest requires that I raise my standing by 3 (maybe 4) levels.

If I go raise my standing with Gek or someone like that, will it still count?

the quest is badly worded, i too thought i had been blocked.

You only need 4 individual "your standing has increased" points. handing a facination bead to a korvax counts as 3 points, so doing that and then learning a word counts as increasing standing 4 times.

(doing something that insults them counts as -1 point)
