I wonder what the thought process was limiting the way you move stuff around. If you are in range of your freighter, you should be able to move from a to b to c in any combination. That is, unless the captian gets a "cut" from every transfer.
Like if you press X to transfer, you'll get a quickmenu to select your ship/freighter/suit and it'll remember which one you chose for the play session so you only have to hit X twice to transfer it to the one you previously chose.
Or pressing X shifts it to the next inventory available. Suit->Ship->Freighter->Suit
<x> to suit
<y> to ship
<z> to freighter
or something like that.
Also, let me bind a key to summon the freighter -- the fast menu might be useful on controller, but if I wanted a controller I wouldn't be playing on a PC.
