Hostile creatures

Has anyone encountered hostile creatures that DON'T look like little crab things?

Even before the update, seems like the only hostile creatures I ever encounter are little crab things that seem to spawn close to caves. Kind of lame considering how Im constantly encountering massive herbivores that could easily swallow my ship whole...but of course they are practically brain dead plant eaters.

I mean where are the T-Rex's and all?

Actually there are hostile t-rexs, pretty much any animal can be hostile or passive just the head crabs seem more likely to be hostile.

Yeah those seem to be the only hostiles Ive encountered. I haven't played long, but Ive restarted at least 20 times now and all I seem to get are the head crabs. Ill be on the look out for the T-Rexs so I can name the planet Jurassic Park

I was attacked by three midget t-rex right after exiting my ship, it was a very short call to arms. (bada tiss) Fml

I've been attacked by dinosaurs and wolf-like things since the update.

there are other hostile creatures..especially with the new update. iv been attacked now by things that look like deer and even a giant two legged giraffe thing (i have no idea what it was. it was weird af)

I mainly get attacked by larger creatures that has ninja moves and takes almost 50% of my shields in one attack, where they hit me twice within a second..

Oh don't worry traveler. There are many many creature types with very aggressive predators. Even some that look just like docile herbivores. Just when you let your guard down and sitesee, or mine, watch out for that sudden hostile creature icon! I was once attacked very viciously by the tinies of small rodent looking animals, those suckers really laid into me, vicious little beasties!

Also going for swims, will often yield alot of squid, shark or jellyfish predators as well.

Predators can also come as singles or whole swarms, much like angry sentinel swarms, when harvesting Sac Venom, Gravitino Orbs, or Conversion Cubes.

Space can and will surprise you, sometimes it just takes a while for the right mix of circumstances.

It looks like a dolphin that did a big jump and somehow then somehow managed to miss the entire ocean on the way down.

Beware them deer! I found a couple mean ones after patch, and yes they are carnos. Creepy~

They love to stand over caches and use them as explorer bait too!

Lucky indeed. Hostile things hit like a truck now and some of them move very quickly. And they can appear in large numbers (animals in general seem to be able to appear in MUCH greater numbers now).

I tell ya, a big herd of crabs is a big tall glass of NOPE.
