Albumen Pearls Quest Glich?

Anyone found a workaround for this? I have the recipe, but no pearls seeds. The marker kept vanishing. Now my Farmer says there's nothing more he can teach me.

Tried moving the Farmer to my Freighter, but that didn't change anything.

Reload a previous save if possible?

Keep him in the freighter and jump to another system. Worked for me first try.

And then land somewhere, call the frighter and ask him again or what?

Yep. You dont actually have to land anywhere, you can summon the freighter from space. Once you're done with the quest you can head back and put him in the base again if you choose. I didnt, until I hit a bug with the carrion root quest. Planted the roots on the freighter but he wasn't acepting that so had to plant new ones at the base.

Really? He's got like 5 or 6 more plant recipes to give you. You dont have those?

If you've already got the pearl recipe, you need 100 thamium, 20 rigogen and 3 pearls to make 1 pearl plant.

I have all the other recipes. For some reason the pearl seeds didn't materialize. I think I got busy doing some of the other quests and never realized that I was missing the pearls until later. I have all of the other plants growing on my base, and as far as I can tell have completed all other quests.

I have managed to trip over sac venom and vortex cubes on planets, so I guess I'll wait until I trip over some pearls now.

Plus, I am in my second galaxy -- not sure if that is a factor or not. I assume all galaxies play pretty much the same, but I only arrived in this one the day before the update came out.

Im in Hilbert as well. Sounds like a pretty serious bug. I think HG have a bug reporting email or website. I'd let them know asap.

I'm having the same issue, didn't imediately go get the pearl formula and now there's no waypoint for me to go find it.

I've found pearls as well but the recipe doesn't populate still.

Pearls start to populate mostly in numbers in Red (Sigma) systems. They -are- listed in a planetary scan as 'Albumen Pearls'. These ones are usually in small clumps of 2-6 plants on the surface of hills near large bodies of water. You can use the huge leaves of the plants to cover you from sentinel fire while you harvest them, and just for handiness sake, open all the pods first before grabbing all the pearls for less sentinel meddling time.

Default Yellow systems will have them, raaaaarely on barren planets that have no listed purple resource, but they are very rare and only visible to scans on foot, as they are underground. Every time I found them that way I usually had to blast a tunnel with the pulse launcher to reach them. Just be careful you don't blow up the plants, they are super fragile. Since those ones are underground the sentinels are usually a non-issue because they can't locate you. :P

There's no issue locating pearls, the issue is with the farming quest and the waypoint for finding the albumen pearl plant recipe.

For me, the marker was in water and there was nothing there for me to collect, just a flat surface with nothing.
