Base Building Controls - Delete? Colour?

So, Z brings up the menu. F places things. R rotates items. But I can't seem to get the delete or colour options to work. What am I missing?

Originally, I had ctrl set for my jetpack, so everytime I tried to use that in building mode I hovered inside. Ha! Changed my jetpack to something else.

I've remapped a lot of the keys due to playing left-handed, but as far as I can tell none of that is interferring (other than the jetpack).

Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated, thanks!

Answered my own question.

It only works with the LEFT ctrl key.

Move your mouse left/right and/or move forward/back to select a different object. Delete and color do not use the selected catagory/object, only the highlighted object.

Its worth getting a gamepad to play with, makes it so much easier for the menus etc.

To delete or change color of object, Z then press and hold left ctrl, select the object you want to modify. Page Up/Down between color and delete, Q and E to pick color, F to select. RMB out.

This game seriously needs a REAL pc interface instead a this poor console port. I do use autohotkey , which helps some. I would also like to see an option to disable all the animated menus, and have pop-up menus instead. When first learning the game, these are fine, later on they just become annoying wastes of time.

I didn't like to the change to q/e/up/down. The arrow keys felt more natural to me.

Can you change the color of an object you've already placed?

Yes. And if you are doing a lot of building it is more efficient to build all of the structure then go back and color eveything.

ya thats the thing about these tiny companies , no pc support lol , they only have man power to do tiny little things so they do what will work with both pc and console .
