Building a beacon

My construction worker gave me a blueprint to build a beacon with one catch. I can't seem to craft the "voltaic cell" needed to make the beacon. How can I get one?

You need to build a science lab and hire a Kovack scientist in a space station, he will give you the blueprint of voltaic cell.

Now it comes the complicated part, I am still trying to solve it, the cell needs a material harvested in plants in toxic planets and you need special hazmat gloves for that, but the gloves are a gift from an engineer and you need voltaic cells to build his lab.

where do you find the stuff you need for a scientist?

Solved, the material to build the cells is harvested in the caves of toxic worlds, with the multitool.

I built a science lab. I hired a scientist. He hasn't given me a voltaic cell blueprint. He asked me to go check a signal. I did. Now he wants me to go find some candesium so he can make some non-ferrous plating.

But to get candesium, I need a Haz-Mat Gauntlet

And to get a Haz-Mat Gauntlet, I need an armorer.

And to get an armorer, I need a weapons lab,

And to get a weapons lab, I need a voltaic cell.

WTF am I doing wrong?

Base building "quests"

You start with the construction station quest, which you can go to any station to pick up a construction guy (seems to be a gek). Follow his quests to gather items or visit locations and you should unlock the science station -- this time once built you need to find a Korvax space station and recruit a scientist. Repeat following both stations quests and you will unlock the weapons station, which will require recruiting a Vy'keen. Finally you will unlock the final cultivation farming station which requires another gek.

Same Problem here. My scientist talked also about atrium, but won't helpt in this issue,
Atrium can be found on radioactive candium planet in a cave, which is needed for voltaic cell.

I built my base on a snowy extreme weather planet and the atrium or whatever is in the caves there and it isn't radioactive. Just go to a cave on your planet or nearby planet and look for a bell shape flower. Kinda small, mine were near iron deposits and made the area glow purple.

Also you need to build the cells in your exosuit inventory.

I went through this exact problem early today and was running and flying and telporting all over the place trying to find the Voltaic Cell. And then I did a D'oh head smack. Its a tech you can just craft in your exo suit inventory. Same as warp cell etc.

Actually.. You don't need to craft the Cell.. As long as you have the Atrium u can construct the Beacon..
