delivery mission problem

so i had taken this quest to deliver a flask of smelles pheramones (this is my translation not the english name in the game since my game uses a different language)

but at the time i removed the item i was supposed to deliver and since you cannot remove quests i decided to pay the deliver area a visit to see what happens

turns out you can still deliver something namely an item that "looks" like the original item or something along those lines the problem is i don't know where to get a flask or some other item that looks like it so has anyone out there completed a quest like this where they lost the original item?

Same Problem here, I can't finish the mission because I probably sold the item by misstake ... I hope there is a solution for that :(

i found 1 solution and this is how it fixed it for me

first take 1 more courier/deliver mission then deliver it with anyluck it will say that you completed 2 quests once you go for your reward to the mission giver at the space station

got some other delivery missions in other systems but I can't deliver any of them because it says the mission target is in an other system - even if I am in the right system....

I got like 5 open missions I can't finish now :(

McFluffFace: Do all FIVE missions say the target is in another system? Ie., that message only applies to the one mission you have selected in your Log. Try selecting each mission in turn, and (hopefully) one will indicate that it is in your current system.

@Cannon Fodder did exactly that and it says every mission is in a different system and it doesn't matter if I'm actually in the right system :(

Ok: One last option - do you have any missions ready to turn in? I had 3 delivery missions; I did one but did not turn it in; I went to the system where there was another (planning on completing all three then turning them all in).

The Galaxy Map showed me in the correct system, and the delivery 'hint' said to locate the drop-off, but 'C' did not show up anything on any of the planets.

Then I turned in that one completed mission. And THEN a 'C' showed me a drop-off point on a planet.

Maybe that will halp you :)

the system economy names have clues as to what items they sell, hopefully some good samaritan will update the wiki eventually with what systems sell which goods.

The delivery items are available for sale at minor settlements, space stations, and trading posts. What's really irritating is the ones for sale in the system you are IN are not always the same ones you need to deliver in the system you picked the mission up in.

it'll show you which type of system carries which type of delivery mission items. Took me FOREVER to find this information.
