Help with Chrysonite

Been looking all day today, no joke, all day for this stuff. I just came back cause of the base building, loving it so far. Anyhoo, used google and I see it is suposed to be on ice planets (could be old info) and be able to buy. . . except I cant find it on planets (ice, non ice) and cant find anyone selling it. . . so what am I doing wrong?

I have searched for 2 hours on foot, then 2 hours with ship, then moved to next planet, next system. . even looked in caves. . . Last time I played (before pathfinder) I recall it was a little easier. Oh and I have even found the critters and gave them food. . still nada. . .

So some advise would help. . .

You can almost always buy it in space stations, at about 40 or more units per visited trading ship. You can usually get a couple hundred before the ships stop offering it, but all you need to do is save a restore point, close the game, and re-open it to get the supply going again.

Same thing with zinc, and usually with platinum if that's what you need.

I've found big crystals on snow and dry balmy planets. I think it's like heridium, it's everywhere but just hard to find. I usually land and do my thing then I do a big circle run and scan. I end up finding it mostly that way. If you land on a "dead" thurmium planet, you can use the exocraft and find lots of things besides chrysonite like vortex cubes and titanium.

have no problems with zinc, I farm sentinels for that, platinum is not hard to find either. Just cant seem to find any Chrysonite. I have yet to find any on a space station or anywhere else. . . I am sure I will find it, it just is a pain I cant find any. . .

i think its found on cold planets... i find it mixes together with titanium (blue and yellow crystals)

Morning all!

So update. . after spending 14 hours (no joke) trying to find the stuff I turn it on and this go to a planet to get some crops going and I am greeted with this. . . .

I found this just outside of the outpost landing area. It was on a dry planet in a B7p system and my third find.

Chrysonite: Impossible to find in big quantities. NPC's don't sell it in freighters or trade stations (except maybe the terminal). You must gather it in space stations, usually 35-50 sold per NPC. On planets you can get it with the special beam device, but it's rare.

Chrysonite should be there on most type of planets. Maybe it was only on cold planets before foundation update. Its quite rare though so you will probably want to look forward to buying it instead.

Same. Rather than trying to find large amounts of Ti or Ch when I need it for a specific upgrade, I just buy what the traders have when I find myself at a terminal and just chuck whatever I have on me in a container when I stop by my base.

Ch spawns on every planet, not only on ice planets like vanilla. It's quite rare tho, and really not farmable. You just happen to stumble upon it when you go from A to B.
