Some Indicator for Un-Scanned Minerals and Plants
This game has the Red Dot for any Animal Life that has not been Scanned. How about something like that to show Plants and Minerals that have not yet been scanned, other than the Slight Tint Change when the Mouse hovers over them.
I have done many planets where I get to One Last Mineral, and kill two Plus Hours looking for that last one, only to give up, and do something else... Two Hours for 10 planets not yet complete is a lot of wasted time...

If you are running around on a planet, your scanner will give you a readout of everything that the crosshairs pass over. Just keep an eye out for "unidentified plant or mineral" and then back up and look for it.

It is a waste of time to search for minerals at 200 credits a shot unless you have a specific station mission with a better reward.

Even searching for flora, which maxes out at just under $70,000 credits is kind of a waste if you are spending significant time searching. You can fly to a new planet and pick up 6 more plant scans in 10 to 15 minutes.

FYI, you get nothing but satisfaction in a job well done for completing all the scans on a planet.

Ok, then you hit "C" and items not known will sort of Stand Out for a second??

I am not thinking of Scan a Planet Mission...
{***} Isn't there a Milestone to fill for doing all items on several planets??

a piece of tech you could install into your multitool to do this would be good imo. not a lot of people care about scanning every plant and every rock on every planet, but some people like doing that stuff, so why not give them the means to do it?

Since there's no real reward for scanning Flora and Minerals, I don't see a need. It would just clutter up your HUD. BUT, I WOULD like to see a HUD change where Buildings/Knowledge Stones differentiate between ones that _have_ been visited and ones that _haven't_. It's really frustrating to go hunting for Knowledge Stones, only to find myself surrounded by Knowledge Stones I've already visited, and no way to know the difference.

After I posted this, I agree with the first part of your post.
For the end, The Knowledge Stone should be Lit once it was interacted with..?? Should be able to see that light from a Reasonable distance.
