But more importantly, only build one base per planet :o
Message module. Good suggestion. Thanks. =)
Tragically, you couldn't leave good enough alone. Could you?
One b-b-b-base p-p-per p-p-planet?
Great. The stuttering is back. Happy?
Are you mad?
Why don't you advise me to cut off my nut5? And, since I'm rather fond of my nut5, you can imagine why I'm agog.
Yes. Agog.
Here I was thinking I was the crazy one. =P
One b-b-base per planet.
Hilarious!
one of the main reason to make multiple bases is to have easy access on different ressources and a teleporter to move around the galaxy free of charge... On a sngle planet you will have a limited variety of ressources, and teleporting would be pointless. Myself I even refrain from creating multiple bases in a single star system because of this.
P.S.: when I say ressources, I'm talking about the more interesting ones, those you cant have an infinite amount by expanding a single stack in the medium/big refiner, so gases (only 1 type per planet) and ore deposits (3 types per planet), also you can only put 3 oxygen harvesters and 3 atmosphere harvester per planet....
Ah! I see your point and it makes sense if you don't play in creative mode.
The fact I play in creative is my main motivation. Also, you haven't seen this planet. It is amazingly beautiful. I finally found the perfect planet. Perfect weather, never too hot, or cold and no storms whatsoever. It consists of mountainous islands with commanding views, private coves perfect for beach houses, even the frikkin caves are inviting.
I'm an artist, in every sense of the word. So, having a world of my own to design comes natural to me. I see it as a palace planet, with different amazing locations where I can build. Perhaps this is more to the point. Creative mode should have the flexibility to build multiple bases. And, it's not like the game doesn't allow more than one base. There are planets that have different people sharing it.
By the way, Happy Old Year until it's new! =)
aaand if you don't know what you can do next in this game then install eucli-ea mod from winder. idk if you have already done it. you need this mod for the unity system because some big bases are build with it. ´just remembered that we exchanged some lines there so i write this...
@byte me, if you are a base builder, maybe you like this mod too
https://www.nexusmods.com/nomanssky/mods/367
Oh, just an idea. idk how much bases you have built on your home planet but i would place down the signals and give them a color. that may help a bit to find the right base...
ofc a name would much better....
I've seen a great number of planets upon my 300+ hours of playing, but I can't say there were any beautiful, just no more than nice. Maybe I'm kinda unlucky, idk.
Obviously beauty is subjective. As well, "amazingly beautiful" has as much to do with its beauty as much as it does with me flourishing my words to describe it. My mother has always told me beauty is in the eye of the beholder and ugliness goes right to the bone. Clearly, this means if you're ugly, you most likely suffer from lumbago with sciatica. It's all rhetorical jibber jabber if you ask me. My rhetorical jibber jabber is, beauty only matters to the observer. If they can see it and appreciate it, then it's only their opinion that counts. This forces me to ponder if a person without sight can truly see beauty.
My planet is amazingly beautiful, in my opinion. And, I must add, my opinions are never wrong. Therewith and therefore, my eyes are biased. Then again, I only said that so I could say therewith and therefore in the same sentence. And, yes, I admit it, for cheap comic value.
Tell you what, since I'm not in the habit of putting out my system's coordinates to any Tom, ♥♥♥♥ or andr99ru who asks for it, I'll graciously compromise. Below, you will find a selection of snapshots of my precious planet. Plus, I added a couple extra because it's the holiday season, look out for the penisfish, my homeworld's only predator. Also, my first concept idea for a swimming pool, which is suprisingly easy to make. The structure with the circle lights is a beach station with a portal. You access it through a tunnel in the rock. And, how my freighter's bridge used to look. The rest is pure scenery.
We'll examine the possibility of providing you with my, now controversial, system's coordinates at a later date when we can be chaperoned. After all, I have my flawless reputation to preserve. Therefore, I will consider it foul scorn if my good name is besmirched.
Enjoy the pics. Happy New!

Thanks a lot for the pics. Yes, this planet is nice one, pretty nice, but not uniqe at all -- after the 'Visions' update there's a whole lot of them.
It is very good that you didn't give me the coordinates. Otherwise, I'd be quite disappointed on arrival after a series of warps (i don't like portals).
You know, after more than 300 hours of gameplay I've got nothing to do in this game anymore, except warping from system to system searching for interesting worlds in terms of flora, faund, and landscape. And I can't find any, cause they're all the same to a large extent -- same boring. The procedural generation implemented by HG is very very restricted. Imho.
I think HG is well adviced <not> to implement these assets in the normal game. When i look at my bases, built with Eucli-ea, the fps drop is - uuhhhh! ;). The "normal" players would complain about it. They doit for really minor problems either. Ranting seems to become a major part of the citizen lifes... A mod is imo the best way to build extended bases *g*

Happy New Year to you too!
For one, you are clearly a critic and self-appointed pseudo connoisseur of all things that make a special planet extra spekshul. You must be proud. For some reason. Cheeky monkey. Also, you're a crusher of dreams, a serial killer of feelings and a quasher of orange, perhaps even grape quash, which isn't the direction I intended at the start of this sentence. See? Your brutal attack on my precious planet has me befuddled and bemused. And to think, I was going to introduce you to my late Aunt Winnebaga.
I am beside myself and I'm not even a twin. Looks like I'll have to cancel the New Years Eve party for the sad orphans and terminally ill children. The event would have raised millions of eyebrows and billions in cash. Happy? Still feeling proud? How do you sleep at night? Because if you're like me and toss and turn all night and wake up feeling tired or hungover, then part of you're problem is too much alcohol. The other problem is you need a new matress. I get you good deal on new used matress, only one owner who never use it. A hospital. Tree fiddy? You pay me.
And that's how one carries oneself with dignity. Good morrow to thee.
@Ǥɾᴧᴤʆᴧᵯᴧ. lmao! It's amazing how often something looks like a penis in the game. Some critics, who shall remain nameless, certainly look like a huge... member. It's not like I'm actively looking for them. They just stand out, like a sore thumb that resembles a penis. They are everywhere! It's as if the game is forcing them down our throats. Which is a bad, yet hilarious example.
I should rant more. My problem is, I keep things bottled up. LMAO! Even I can't buy that BS.

What about your planet -- seriusly, there are a vast number of them since the 'Visions' update released. A moment ago I've taken a look at my save files (one for Normal mode and one for Survival), and found out that I have summary visited more than 1000 star systems. In about half of them I was visiting planets. So, I can certainly say, there are very many planets quite like yours. It is nice colored, beautiful and so on, but far from uniqe.
I didn't want to offend you, not at all. Sorry if I did. Happy New Year! In my place it will become in less than 20 minutes )
@andr99ru - don't worry if you can't understand OP. He thinks his loquacious thesaurus-happy style is clever, but it isn't. Far better to communicate clearly and concisely.
