Potential infinite sentinel star ship salvage bug

I found a bug that would allow the player to have potentially infinite sentinel ships from the salvage quest, I was able to grab two before I stopped the bug, I'm not putting the details on here for obvious reasons but I will detail the bug to a mod.

This is a player to player forum. No one from HG will ever see this.

You can contact them directly through their zendesk account.

It is a known situation. You just have to not do it if you don't like doing it. Unlikely it will be fixed since it is optional. You can also use a save game editor to do whatever you want. Using it unwisely will ruin your game.

Send in a bug report via zendesk if you want Hello Games to know about it. If they ever work on that part of the game, they may fix it.

Yes, I forgot to add that cheating is regularly encouraged here by some users. So even from the player-to-player side, the few of us who care wouldn't exploit that bug to begin with. The rest could give a ♥♥♥♥.

I actually didn't discover it with any save game editor or other such part of the game or any cheat, it's a bug within the quest itself. I'll contact support through the site, I only posted here because some game devs read and respond on other games so I took a shot.

He wasn't suggesting you used a save editor to find it, he was just pointing at another common way players use to cheat.

And as I stated in the first reply, no HG does not look at these forums at all officially. Probably not unofficially either. If you want to contact HG for any reason - to report a bug, to request new features, whatever you feel you need to contact them about - you need to do that through the Zendesk account. It's the only thing they officially check.

ITS NOT CHEATING IF THE GAME HAS NO COMPETITIVE ELEMENT! It is just playing your own game and not worrying about what someone else does or doesn't do.

There is a frigging cap on total credits in any case...so the best your can ever do is gain a draw with another player.

A "competitive element" has nothing to do with cheating. You can cheat at Solitaire. It's still cheating.

And IDGAF about your hypothetical situations about glitches or whatever. If you ask me about any of those hypothetical situations, I'll just answer you now. Yes. It's still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cheating. Period.
