Find the benefactor - galaxy map

The starting quest makes you jump to another star system to test your warp drive. A bit later, you're supposed to "find the benefactor" by looking at the galaxy map. However, the icon does not show up until you return to your starting system (even if you have awakening marked as active quest). This is extremely confusing, look at those:

You should either get a clue that you need to jump back or the icon should always show on the galaxy map.
