Freighter Disappeared After Galaxy Centre Jump

Hi, I came across a bug while playing NMS after the recent Aquarius update - I was pushing towards the galactic center (Euclid to Hilbert), last night I managed to get close enough to take the jump.

Once I repaired everything and got out to space again, I tried summoning my freighter, which gave me a "You do not own a freighter" error.

Subsequently, I landed on the nearby station and tried teleporting to my freighter (the bookmark for it was still showing up in the portal menu) which did teleport me back to where the freighter -used to be-, although it seems to have disappeared, leaving me and my ship drifting in space.

All in-game trackers (incl. the ones for quests aboard the freighter, such as science station and overseer) act as if the freighter still exists and show me the relevant waypoints etc.

Conversely, any option that would cause the game to recalc the freighter's location or info (summoning it, adding pilots to squadron, etc) acts as if I never owned a freighter.

Is there a way to restore my freighter without rolling back my save (I keep backups) and without editing the save?

This exact thing just happened to me as well. All of my loot was on my freighter :(
I don't know what to do now. I took off as many upgrades as I could so they wouldn't get damaged during the jump through the core.
Anything in my storage containers I am assuming will be fine, but I dumped all my upgrades into the freighter inventory and I have no idea if I am getting any of that back :(

Why is there not an option to do your own savegame backups from the menu? I thought "rename save" would do it but apparently not.
Not cool. I'm basically completely screwed now. All my multitool and exosuit technology and my S class dreadnought is gone.

Also, how the hell did this affect my freighter when I didn't even jump through the core with it? It was literally in a completely different solar system.

brother my S class freighter is gone too after this. I reported it to zendesk and we just need to flood them with bug reports.

Judging by what I saw, there's reason to hope they are salvageable because the game still in some ways knows they exist.

I'll do you all one better and say that I completed the story, tried summoning my freighter, found out I couldn't, tried portaling to it, and was teleported to deep space to meet my unceremonious demise. Keep in mind that this save is survival so I lost my inventory as well.

Also I checked and the storage contents are still maintained.

Also HG if you're somehow reading this please fix the hardframe arm it doesn't work and it hasn't for years

Oh yeah, I copied this text into a bug report as soon as I was done here; just hoped to raise it in multiple places for more visibility.

In my case it was a permadeath character, but thankfully it teleported my ship next to me so I managed to not die in space. Also luckily, I happened to be streaming the session so I gave them the VOD link as extra proof.

Hoping its reversible, not so much for the freighter itself but I rather liked the way I set things up and don't want to roll back or edit my save (as some people have recommended).

Likewise my freighter disappeared during a galaxy warp, with stuff in their storage. Fortunately my 10 storage crates are intact, as well as warp technology. I lost 9 salvaged frigate modules as well. Today I managed to obtain a new freighter after a pirate battle, and outfitted my freighter with new rooms, and 14 new frigates. Then I warped to another galaxy (98 on long journey to 255) - freighter disappeared! Again!

Me too and the problem is my entire life was on that freighter... I built it to be a mobile base, all 180+ hours just vanished in an instant...

I saw a while back on the experimental board that they added this to the notes:

"Fixed a rare bug that could reset player freighters when warping."

Whether this refers to a normal warp or warping to an entirely different galaxy I don't know. Also whether or not it will restore our missing ones remains to be seen.

RIP in peace my old freighter and I hope they will fix it.
But its not all bad... Since now game thinks I never had a freighter and so I can get a new one fully for free, might as well hunt for S class while I wait for a fix...
