Not great on M3 Mac
By not great I mean started two sessions where the glow effects rendered (the blurry layer behind lights and teleports and such) but no other layers .

Changed graphics setting to ultra and restarted and did get a render that time but nothing looked new except some small square part of the screen that looks like it was a moire pattern overlay for a screen in the game stuck to my screen as a loudly discolored bit which moved from the upper left corner to kinda near the middle when I got in my starship.

Then hung and crashed when warping between systems so I've given up for now. :(

As I've put in the other mac-related threads, to fix the "lighting effects only" issue temporarily you can turn MetalFX to Spatial (not Temporal) and HDR on, or leave MetalFX off and use any other anti-alias method/disable AA entirely instead if you don't want or can't use HDR. Those combinations appear to function without issue on my M2.

The discolored patch disappeared for me when I turned graphics / reflections down to "standard" (left everything else on high).

Also on an M3 Mac.

I tried this with my M2 Pro MBP. No difference at all.

It was working on mine, same system as you it sounds like, until i went to a more active snowy world and then I got a lot of other glitches and just disabled AA instead; that seems to be "best", so long as the coloured floating square of doom doesn't appear. But now my game's locked up again, so I've given up looking for more issues.

Oh yeah - screenshot of the coloured square on my game; looks like it's another issue with layering effects properly, same as with the lighting-effects issue (all dark except the highlights): https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3291694296

The problem persists in the latest version − The Cursed (build 131733)

Buggy glow are present on any type of AA (inc none), w/ or w/o HDR. I noticed that this problem does not appear immediately - but only after calling the menu (dialogue / inventory / main menu)
