Abyssal creature
There is a quest in the expedition forcing you to kill abyssal creature.
Sort of worm like attached to the sea floor with one eye and trying to kill you if you come too close but I killed like a dozen already and it didn't matter to the game so I wonder how to finish this ??

You should be looking for the deep-sea angler hiding in certain rock formations. Pick the glowing green globs to draw it out, then pop it with your multi-tool. Do not mine the rock.

Ok, yeah that's not a worm, now that I know what I'm searching that's might be a bti better.

Have you double-checked your difficulty settings? Those relating to reduced combat difficulty have been known to hamper progress on occasion.
