Recruitng base staff bugged?

So have to hire a scientist, after this new patch im not seeing where they keep the base staff any more ( use to be in the side rooms) I have no mission indicator either other then the beaker icon on the galaxy... wondering if this is an oversight

There were random NPCs walking around the general area and some of them were hireable without needing to go into that specific side room. Not sure about the new update, though, but try talking to other NPCs.

Ill try to talk to more NPCs but so far no luck

ok after talking to every Kovax NPC, I found the base scientist, thanks for the suggestion. So seems they are not marked at all with the quest icon is all
