Can't build base computer

Is anyone else having difficulty with constructing a base computer? When I pull up the menu for construction, the Roamer Geobay is the only option available. It doesn't show any other options. There are no other player bases nearby so I'm confused. I tried logging out/logging back in and it's still stuck. This happens randomly with some planets despite the fact that I'm not surrounded by other bases. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Without knowing the specifics, the only scenario I can think of that would cause that is if you are in your ship or somewhere other then the planet surface. The BP should be visible even if you don't have the mats to build it. I guess it is also not allowed if you are inside the perimeter of a settlement. Build menu(Z) for M/KB

There were a couple of old expeditions where the game intentionally removed the base computer BP until you finished the expedition...but those are long gone unless you did some trickery to replay one you missed.

Thank you for this information! I also thought it should be visible, but the options were completely hidden. Somehow, I couldn't scroll (using W and S keys) through the catalog so the list was stuck on one particular section of the build menu.

Just now, I had to quit to desktop and reopen the game. The build menu returned to normal so I can construct my base computer now. That was so weird, though! I don't know why the base computer didn't show up earlier. This has happened to me so many times in the past week. Not sure why, but closing and reopening the game fixed it for me.
