DualSense has serious issues (Mac version)
- The DualSense disconnects after 10-15 minutes of playing. Also, connecting it again while No Man’s Sky is still open is very clunky. It’s clearly bugged.
- All the LEDs/lights of the gamepad turn off after launching No Man’s Sky.
- I don’t think Steam controller layouts are properly working with No Man’s Sky.

These issues are replicable. More people are having the same issues.

I am experiencing the same problems with both Sony Dualsense Wireless controller and Sony Dual Shock 4 controller. Both repeatedly drop out while playing No Man's Sky and I press the playstation button to reconnect them. At first it appeared to be random, but it seems to coincide when fps drops, such as using the jet pack. I have also noticed that when I initially connect the DualSence controller with my M2 MacBook Pro 13, the blue light is on, but as soon as the game is launched the blue light goes out, so the only time you know the DualSense controller is not connected is when the game stops responding to the controller, or in my case where I have a game focus mode configured and it flips back to personal focus mode when the controller drops. I have not experienced this problem when running any other games on my MacBook, such as Baldurs Gate 3, divinity original sin 2, Tomb Raider, elite dangerous, etc. i.e. games that are native, need Rosetta 2, parallels desktop or crossover to run.

I can report the same disconnects happening with PS4 controllers. It's something like every 15 minutes or so, it will disconnect and you have to press the PS button to reconnect. A workaround is to connect with a cable, but I'd really like to be able to play wirelessly.

I can't say much about steam controller layouts because I'm not changing them for this game. Controller rebinds within NMS do seem to work fine. I swapped R3/L3 for running and scanning for example.

Same issue with DualSense on M1 Max MacBook Pro 14', macOS 13.4.

Wait, you got it to even recognise controller input? I can't seem to get the controller to do anything at all in NMS, while it's working fine in a bunch of other games.

I am experiencing the same, random drops every 10-15 mins, reported via zendesk

MacBook Pro M2-Max
Ventura (latest)
NMS (latest)
Dualsense (latest firmware and fully charged) - works ok in every thing else

It the only problem I am actually having with NMS on the mac, which considering some other posts is surprising as beyond this my NMS experience has been perfect.

I could use Mouse . KB but I am using the dual sense as I want to play in PSVR2 so want to hone my controller skills

I am so dumb, never though to use a cable for a more solid connection when playing areas that need stability. So used to being wireless. Nice tip
seems like as of this date, dualsense mac support is still broken (the sticks work but i cannot select anything in the main menu with X)
