Infinit Loop at Intro

Alright, after scouring through the forums and checking that I do have the hardware to run the game, I find that after the HG and No Man's Sky logo it just keeps scrolling through the starfield.

I've tried a number of things, up to and including hold down the E-key, letting it roll thinking it's loading in the background but so far...nothing.

It takes my PC a long time to get through that starfield. Long enough for me to play a game of Exploding Kittens sometimes. How long have you been letting it run?

5 minutes or so, as usually anything over that time indicates a hung process. But if you're getting it to load by letting it go longer, then I will give it a shot.

I think especially the first load is super long because its running procedural generation for the system and planet. I really thought my game was broken too but eventually it worked.

You were on the money with the wait. Seems I had to let it go about seven minutes.

Thank you, I appreciate the heads up. Game runs slow, but I'm not expecting much this early in the release (plus tweaking settings and blah blah).
