My fragile neural stem did not mature but quest thinks it did.

I had a void egg, I activated the void egg. I encountered the ship and went to the first planet and obtained the neural stem. The neural stem did NOT mature yet but the quest says it has. Is this broken now can I not progress due to a bugged neural stem and should I delete it and retry? The neural stem has no time indicator and says fragile. Not sure why.

Ok Uh... So I'm a big idiot. This post is gonna stay up for the remainder of the day until someone comes along cuz I'm gonna add it as the answer for no reason. I'll tell you why.

So... If you have a freighter or a place you keep things, you'll probably be thinking "HM... MAYBE I LEFT IT IN MY STORAGE". And there it was in my frigate... The holy mature large brain for my ship. I then went into deep space with pulsing once and it gave me the next quest objective... DUDE I'm such an idiot... wonder how many people ran into this xD

Now I'm starting to realize that... after doing that with my brain and reloading the game after forwarding your system a day, you get a duplicate of that brain. So there's an exploit instead of a game breaking bug for ya for the time being until Hello games thinks it's a "good idea" to risk removing it (under the pressure it is literally 3,700 quicksilver!! wtf!??)

If you're dying to get too many living ships in your house, just mature your items and leave them in your storage then wait or forward one day on your system clock and you (I THINK) get a fragile version of each. You might need to repeat this for the other items if you didn't get to the last fragile object quest that makes you (SPOILERRRR) [[suck souls out of living beings.]] lol what the heck...
