Flying companion over water

Flying companions can't fly over water. They plunge and auto-dismount when the water gets too deep. I want to fly across the ocean on my giant butterfly. Please HG make this happen.

That is probably a feature on how they keep flying critters that land from being in unexpected places...although I have seen the bird flocks flying around underwater on occasion.

So a fix would likely create a new bug for people who get bent out of shape if the critters are places they should not be.
