Report a translation problem
Right now, the issue seems to affect only large inventories, such as starship inventory and suit cargo. This was in experimental too, but was "funnily" enough missed by HG.
I've also reported this via their bug form.
So far, I have not had this problem with Nanites, but everything else seems fair game.
Have you guys removed some specific mod related to slots & stacking ?
Easiest way to reproduce:
- Get a 500 stack of iron in your ship and another stack of iron, something like 200 or more (you want to make sure you have enough).
- In space, do a short hyper jump and recharge the engine using the 500 stack of iron.
- Now, stack it with the smaller stack of iron. One of those stacks should now be missing, even though there was clearly enough to be left over.
EDIT:
Or, infact, just stack the 500 iron with the smaller one and see the same result. Don't know why I had to complicate things...
I've never used mods. This was a known bug on 1.36 Experimental. Seems it isn't quite gone.
However:
If I stack nanites or items in my suit cargo, everything is fine. But, if I stack two stacks (+250) of any material, I'm only left with one 500 stack of it. It does not go to my suit inventory or anywhere else. So, now I have to figure out which mod makes it happen every time, but it is still happening without it for materials in my suit cargo.
EDIT:
This keeps getting weirder. I enabled all mods again, and I cannot make it happen in starship inventory, only suit cargo. Whenever I stack materials TO there, the exceeding amount disappears. It does not matter if I start stacking within the suit cargo or inventory. I can start stacking from my suit inventory, swich to suit cargo (by pressing Q or the cargo icon) and stack the materials there. Stacking nanites from suit inventory to suit cargo also throws away the exceeding nanites, but not when stacking them while doing so inside the suit cargo.
I still cannot understand how I've lost materials inside starship inventory and now I cannot. I was able to do it multiple times (testing) before posting that comment.

Recorded with mods DISABLED. For whatever reason, I was again able to get it happen in starship inventory. My guess is that it has something to do with the amount in each stack. The video does not show the nanite stacking issue when stacking from suit inventory to suit cargo but you should get the point (stacking within cargo seems fine). I'm done troubleshooting.
