If you don't have the credits, you're kind of screwed.
I can't buy one.
My only option would be trade this one to get another. But I just spent so much freaking time and resources repairing this one after I found it.... And my only trade option is a downgrade to something equivalent to the starting starship.
UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!
Went to another system and:
- The Starship was on a different landing pad in the bay
- The Starship was back to red in color, like it was before it bugged out
- The Starship still said "On Planet"
- The Starship launched normally and I was able to leave the freighter

Did you try warping the freighter to another system? That fixed it for me.
And actually just holding w worked for me
